HDF Faced Plywood is an engineered hybrid panel designed for high-end cabinetry and furniture manufacturing. By laminating thin layers of High-Density Fiberboard (HDF) onto a multi-ply Birch or Poplar core, we eliminate the natural "grain telegraphing" that can occur with standard plywood. The HDF skins provide a perfectly homogenous, pore-free surface that acts as a superior canvas for high-gloss lacquering, ultra-thin veneers, or sensitive foils. This panel combines the screw-holding power and structural integrity of a plywood core with the industrial smoothness of HDF, solving the common trade-off between strength and surface perfection.
This material is especially favored by CNC operators and luxury kitchen manufacturers. When routed, the internal plywood layers are revealed, but the face remains chip-free and incredibly stable. Unlike solid MDF or HDF panels, the plywood core prevents the board from sagging over long spans, making it ideal for large wardrobe doors and high-end shelving. The HDF faces are applied using high-performance PUR glues to ensure zero delamination even in humid kitchen or bathroom environments.

Since HDF skins are prone to corner impact, we utilize reinforced edge-guards and bottom "sacrificial" boards for every pallet. For high-gloss grade orders, we interleave sheets with protective foam. Payment is 30% T/T deposit and 70% against B/L. Full technical data on surface absorption is provided to assist your paint department.
