The Indestructible Hybrid for Extreme Industrial Environments
Fiberglass Reinforced Plywood (FRP) is a high-strength composite panel that fuses the natural structural resilience of Birch or Hardwood plywood with the impenetrable surface protection of fiberglass-reinforced plastic. By laminating a layer of woven roving or gel-coated fiberglass to one or both sides of a plywood core, we create a material that is virtually waterproof, impact-resistant, and chemically inert. These panels are the backbone of the global logistics industry, used extensively for the sidewalls of truck trailers, refrigerated containers, and heavy-duty shipping crates where traditional wood would succumb to moisture and mechanical abuse.
The core is usually a high-grade WBP (Water Boiled Proof) Birch plywood, ensuring that even if the fiberglass skin is punctured, the internal structure remains stable. The fiberglass surface provides a seamless, "glass-smooth" finish that is extremely easy to sanitize, making it a standard choice for food processing facilities and medical transport. Available in various thicknesses and surface textures (including high-gloss or anti-slip), FRP plywood offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio of any panel in our catalog, outperforming both solid plastic and traditional metal sheeting in terms of puncture resistance and thermal insulation.

Logistics and Financial Terms
FRP panels are highly durable but require careful edge protection during shipping to prevent chipping of the fiberglass gel coat. We use specialized heavy-duty pallets for oversized sheets (up to 3m). Payment: 30% T/T deposit, 70% against B/L. We provide "Impact Resistance" and "Cleanability" certifications for industrial tenders.
Material Comparison
- Vs. Standard Plywood: FRP is 100% waterproof and exponentially more impact resistant.
- Vs. Solid Plastic: Plywood core prevents "sagging" and provides much higher structural stiffness.
- Vs. Aluminum: FRP does not dent, provides better insulation, and is easier to repair.
Composite Engineering
The Fiberglass-Wood Bond is achieved through high-pressure thermal lamination. This ensures the Reinforced Surface and the Structural Core act as a single monolithic unit that resists delamination even under extreme temperature cycles.
Green Building Commitment
FRP plywood significantly extends the service life of transportation equipment, reducing the environmental footprint of frequent repairs. The structural wood core provides carbon sequestration, while the durable skin is easy to clean with mild detergents, reducing the need for harsh chemicals. We prioritize FSC-certified Birch to ensure the core is sourced responsibly.
